The Starr Earthworks project is an art project dedicated to the World Peace Initiative. Began construction in August 2002; opened to general public September 29, 2002. Thousands of artists, schoolchildren, church and community groups from six countries participated in creating and hosting this event which culminated with a nighttime peace vigil held on October 5, 2002.
